Restroom Trailer or Porta Potty?
People ask for "the nice ones" and mean a restroom trailer. It is worth knowing what you are actually taking on, because a trailer asks more of your site than a row of units does.
What a trailer is
A towed unit with separate stalls, running water, flushing toilets, lighting, and usually heating and air conditioning. It reads as a bathroom rather than as a portable toilet, which is exactly why weddings want one.
What it needs from your site
A level pad it can be positioned on. A route in wide and firm enough for a truck towing it. Often a power hookup, and sometimes a water connection depending on the model. None of that is difficult, but all of it is easier to solve two weeks out than on the morning.
When a standard unit is the better call
Job sites, outdoor festivals on rough ground, anything where the ground is soft, and any event where the count matters more than the finish. Three standard units beat one trailer for a queue.
Availability is the real constraint
1131 of the 1,977 independent companies our team checked list restroom trailers — a fraction of the market, because a trailer is real capital for a small yard. In most markets they book a season ahead, so availability rather than price is usually what decides it.
