Both carry the same figures: which unit types each company rents, the national share for each unit, per-state coverage, and the number of operator websites behind every figure. Where a number is missing it is because the company's website does not name that unit, and we would rather show nothing than guess.

Licence

Use it for anything, including commercially. The only ask is attribution: name Porta Potty Finder and link back where the medium allows a link. You do not need permission and you do not need to tell us.

What is in it, and what is not

Every entry is read from a company's own website and recorded against the units it names, with the date it was read. We do not call for quotes, we do not accept listings from brokers or national carriers, and we never estimate a missing value. A company that does not name a unit type contributes nothing rather than being filled in from its neighbours.

It is a record of what operators publish, not of everything they own — a well-stocked yard with a thin website is under-counted, which is exactly what claiming a listing fixes. The full method is here.

Updates

The corpus is re-read on a rolling basis and the file is rebuilt with the site, so the copy at these URLs is always the current edition. The edition date above is the date the data was last checked. Earlier editions are not archived yet; if you need a fixed snapshot for a citation, take a copy at the time you cite it.
