Why Summer Events Need More Servicing Than You Booked

· Ryan Muniak

Heat changes the calculation. A schedule that works in April is not the same schedule in August, and the difference shows up fast.

Tanks fill faster in heat

People drink more, so units fill more quickly, and warm weather makes an under-serviced unit unpleasant far sooner than cool weather does. A weekly schedule that was comfortable in spring can be short by mid-summer with the same crew and the same units.

Multi-day events need overnight service

A one-day event usually needs no service at all — delivered clean, collected after. Anything running two or three days needs servicing between them, overnight, and that has to be arranged in advance because it is not the default and it is not free.

Shade is worth asking for

A unit in direct sun all day is a different experience from one under trees. It costs nothing to place them thoughtfully and it is the single cheapest improvement to how the day feels.

Book earlier than you think

Late spring through summer is peak. The yards with ADA units and trailers run out of those first, and they are exactly the ones you cannot substitute at short notice.
